“I Love You Through and Through”

“I love You Through and Through” is the title of Alexis favorite book! You wouldn’t think a 15 month old baby would be able to differentiate and pick out a favorite anything, let a lone a book, but she does. All the books will be on the shelf and she will point at every book until she spots hers, then she gracefully pulls out her one book, sits and reads it. She clings to the book the rest of the day. Come to think of it, its also the only book she doesn’t chew on…hmmm. Anyway, she carries that book all around the house and it anyone is sitting… guess what they get to read?? She did pick the perfect book, it is sweet, cute, and very little words, so we pretty much have it memorized now. Yesterday, I made her put the book down on the chair  when she was going down for a nap. She didn’t complain, but when Aunt Jessica picked her up after her nap, she was pointing to the book on the chair. This morning she was getting frustrated, she was pulling all the books down, including books I put up on a high shelf, because I didn’t want them ruined. She was hoot’n and hollern’ until I realized she couldn’t find her book… I helped her find it, and she was happy! I am not sure why this is her favorite. JB likes it too. One day before bed Daddy read it to them, and from that day on they would not be satisfied until I read them that book.

Last night, before bed I was changing the babies and putting on their diapers. Jeremiah was first, I finished him up then started undressing his sister. When I got read for the diaper, I noticed JB took it across the room. So as I pointed to the diaper, I asked Jeremiah if he could get it for me:

Mommy: “Can you go get the diaper for me, please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a BOOK and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Book. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a SHOE and brings it to me

Mommy:”That’s a Shoe. Now, can you go get the diaper for me, please?”

JB: looks around and grabs DIAPER RASH CREAM and brings it to me.

Mommy: “That’s Cream. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a PANDA and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Panda. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a MONKEY and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Monkey. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a FLOWER and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Flower. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a DIAPER and brings it to me

Mommy: “Yes, that’s a Diaper, Good Job!”

JB: walks away, didn’t even care that he finally brought what I asked him.

I just love these kids through and through!
