Just incase you were wondering, YES, I got sick. REALLY sick! I was running a high fever all afternoon and all night. I ended up going to bed at 7:30 last night. Alexis has it too now. Alexis and I have the diarrhea version of the sickness, while JB and I have the vomit version… yep, I got both! I’m still feeling lousy, so I am going to lay down now.

A Vomit Story

I titled this as is, because I wanted to warn you about what you are about to read. It is pretty yucky, if I do say so my self.
Last night around 10pm Jeremiah woke up screaming. Justin and I were still up watching a movie, so Justin went in to check on him. Next thing I know, Justin comes walking out with JB dangling in his arms. Justin asks me if I can come get him and clean him off while he cleans the room.
Jeremiah had puked EVERYWHERE!! I am not sure, how so much mess can come from someone so little!MCj04244540000[1]
I took Jeremiah and hosed him off in the shower. He didn’t really care for that, but he was being a good boy. After I bathed him, I took him into the family room and sat with him. I saw him pee in the shower, so I wasn’t too afraid of him peeing on me. So he just cuddled with me all wrapped up in a towel, until Justin could get him some p.j’s and a diaper. (I didn’t want to take him back into the bedroom and wake up his sister, since Justin was in there cleaning anyway)
After about 15 minutes, I slowly started getting him all dressed again. We went slowly mainly because he was cuddling with me, and he only cuddles when he is sick, so I was soaking it up.
About 30 seconds after I got him dressed and wrapped up in a nice clean blanket he sat up and puked again and again and again. I called for Justin to come and help because he was about to get vomit everywhere again. I tired to keep most of it in my hand, but there was so much that I had to use his new blanket as a cup. Once he finally stopped, I realized we lucked out… the puke only got on the blanket and my hand. THEN… he had a violent sneeze and he did a face plant right into the pile of vomit. YUCK! To make matters worse, he then rubbed his nose and eyes and head. Back to the bath….
UGH… I am getting queasy, sitting here. I hope it’s just my mind playing tricks on me, instead of me getting sick too… I’ll keep you posted. Don't want you to catch it too! (ha ha get it, that’s a joke, because I don’t think you can catch it over the internet)

“I Love You Through and Through”

“I love You Through and Through” is the title of Alexis favorite book! You wouldn’t think a 15 month old baby would be able to differentiate and pick out a favorite anything, let a lone a book, but she does. All the books will be on the shelf and she will point at every book until she spots hers, then she gracefully pulls out her one book, sits and reads it. She clings to the book the rest of the day. Come to think of it, its also the only book she doesn’t chew on…hmmm. Anyway, she carries that book all around the house and it anyone is sitting… guess what they get to read?? She did pick the perfect book, it is sweet, cute, and very little words, so we pretty much have it memorized now. Yesterday, I made her put the book down on the chair  when she was going down for a nap. She didn’t complain, but when Aunt Jessica picked her up after her nap, she was pointing to the book on the chair. This morning she was getting frustrated, she was pulling all the books down, including books I put up on a high shelf, because I didn’t want them ruined. She was hoot’n and hollern’ until I realized she couldn’t find her book… I helped her find it, and she was happy! I am not sure why this is her favorite. JB likes it too. One day before bed Daddy read it to them, and from that day on they would not be satisfied until I read them that book.

Last night, before bed I was changing the babies and putting on their diapers. Jeremiah was first, I finished him up then started undressing his sister. When I got read for the diaper, I noticed JB took it across the room. So as I pointed to the diaper, I asked Jeremiah if he could get it for me:

Mommy: “Can you go get the diaper for me, please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a BOOK and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Book. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a SHOE and brings it to me

Mommy:”That’s a Shoe. Now, can you go get the diaper for me, please?”

JB: looks around and grabs DIAPER RASH CREAM and brings it to me.

Mommy: “That’s Cream. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a PANDA and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Panda. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a MONKEY and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Monkey. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a FLOWER and brings it to me

Mommy: “That’s a Flower. Now, can you go get the diaper for me please?”

JB: looks around and grabs a DIAPER and brings it to me

Mommy: “Yes, that’s a Diaper, Good Job!”

JB: walks away, didn’t even care that he finally brought what I asked him.

I just love these kids through and through!

Hope I don’t FAIL!

Yesterday, I mentioned that my teacher had not posted our assignments for the week. I ended up emailing him, and posting a comment on our class discussion board asking other classmates if they knew what we were suppose to be doing. Today is almost over and tomorrow will be mid week, and I still don’t know what it due. Therefore, I called a number that I had for the program I am in. I didn’t realize that I actually contacted the “best” person. I contacted his supervisor. OOPS!… Justin made me feel better by saying “Now, you are going to fail the class!” I sure hope I don’t get him in trouble and then he gets mad and takes it out on me. I would like to have faith that he is mature enough not to do something like that, however, in this day and age… who knows!?!

Here are some photos from the past couple of weeks, that I have not had time to post.

Alexis was being a grump this day. Daddy took her outside and she just laid there with him, for the longest time. It was the only moment of peace for the entire day. Ever since then, she has loved to lay on him like this. SO CUTE!!

Uncle Tony was scaring him, and so he would run to me and cling to me, even though we was laughing.

Crazy Life

Life has been so hectic lately I have not had a moment to post anything to my blog, let alone read other blogs. This morning however, is my “homework” time, and since I’ve finished 2 out of my 3 classes early and my 3rd class didn’t post this weeks assignment yet, I took the time to catch up on my blog friends! I enjoyed everything I read (well almost everything). Anyway, it was a nice break form the day!

I’ve been preparing for my annual patriotic party, and I have been going nuts. Nuts because I have so many ideas and not enough time, money, or space. I have been trying to organize the house and clean it up, but it doesn’t stay clean… I can’t understand why. CG79C I am excited for the party though. It is always fun. The past few years I have done all red, white, and blue foods. Not this year... We decided to make an “American” meal. I have a couple of special things up my selves though.

Couple of things to remember… as I mentioned before, this blog is like my journal, so I try to post things that I want to remember as well. So, I just wanted to give a couple updates on the kids.

-Alexis can now climb up on anything! all the time I will turn around and she’s on the couch or coffee table.

-Right now she just pulled out the photo albums and she is pointing to “dada, droder, & mama” she is pointing and saying the names.

-Jeremiah still doesn’t say anything, but he does understand a lot. He points to people now when you say “where is..” he also sits down on command with out a problem.

-Both kids are trying to dress and undress themselves now. They really love to put on their shoes.

-Jeremiah stomps on everything. He stomps when he’s excited about something and he stomps when he’s mad. He steps on every piece of out of place dirt, tries to stomp on every rock, big or small. He is such a boy!

-Speaking of him being a boy, he found a play shovel and has started to dig. No one showed him how, he just figured it out on his own.

Desert Desserts!

I saw this on one of my favorite blogs Be Different Act Normal and I just had to post it as well!

She lined the cones with chocolate and then filled them with berries and a sour cream and sugar mixture. I think I would just used whipped cream.

And the best part, no dishes to wash. Unless you let them use a spoon. But I can handle spoons.

What you need:
1 cup sour cream

4 tablespoons sugar

Grated peel and juice of 1 lemon

1/4 pound fresh cherries, halved, plus 10 whole for garnish

1 pint mixed berries (blackberries, blueberries, raspberries)

6 ounces milk or dark chocolate

20 sugar cones

What you do:

In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon lemon juice and the lemon peel. Mix well and refrigerate.
In a medium bowl, toss the halved cherries and mixed berries with the remaining 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 to 2 teaspoons lemon juice. Refrigerate.
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a microwaveable bowl. Microwave on high, 20 to 30 seconds at a time, until the chocolate just starts to melt. Stir until smooth. Using a pastry brush, paint the inside of the cones with the melted chocolate. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate until the chocolate hardens, about 15 minutes.
To serve, stand the sugar cones in narrow glasses. Place a dollop of the sour cream mixture in each cone, then fill with the mixed berries. Top with another dollop of sour cream and garnish with a whole cherry.

Another Idea: Desert Kabobs… looks like cupcakes and sugar wafer cookies.

AZ Adventure… we’re stuck!

On Monday, we decided to get out of the house for a couple hours. A couple turned into a few, resulting in a way too long car drive for the babies. We did however see a few things we’ve never seen before, so that was cool. Take a look:

Sheep’s Bridge

We ended up getting stuck out in the desert, because we could not find a route to get home. We ended up meeting up with a couple of guys on motorcycles, who were in the same predicament. We had to drive down a river bed, then cross the river. Luckily we didn’t run out of gas… and we got home just fine. Here are some more pictures of the day.

New Name…

For various reasons I had to change our blog address and name, so here it is. I have wasted way too much time this morning, making changes and notifying people of the change. Therefore, I haven't posted anything actually interesting. I will post either tonight or tomorrow about our crazy life and post some cute pictures too!

(By the end of July I am hoping to have my blog, completely revamped and looking spiffy! So keep checking in for updates!)
